Legal documents mainly land indentures and deeds for Peoria County. A few from Illinois towns such as Edwardsville and Providence, and counties, Schuyler, Bureau, Cook, Putnam, St. Clair, Tazewell and Knox County. Two for land sold by Hypolite and Sophie Maillet. Several for Peter Menard. An 1847 document with a copy of an 1837 plat and description of a lot in the "new village of Peoria. 1851 deposition of Narcisse Pensoneau of St. Clair County in the Peoria case of John Rankin against John Dredge and Samuel King. 1859 brief for Ill. Supreme Court case of Tobias Bradley, Isaac Underhill and Ivory Quimby in 1860. Providence, Rhode Island document against the Pawtucket Western Emigrating Society for money owed. An 1801 Portsmouth, New Hampshire warrant for Frances Marden who "damaged and defamed" Lucey Akerman of Rye, NH.
